Who We Support
Want an adventure with a mission? Building Communities Welcome to Club Dust. Our goal is to take an impoverished neighborhood, with the direction of the local pastor, and build structures and relationships so that with time a loving community will be shaped. For $1,500, we are able to house a family in a 10x12 shelter that protects them from the weather and provides a locked door for safety. With an additional $100 they will receive an extra large bunk bed. FROM A SINGLE SOCAL MOM WHO TOOK HER THREE DAUGHTERS DOWN FOR THE FIRST TIME IN RAIN ON FEB. 27th."Thank you so much for the opportunity to learn how to give with a truly open heart. My daughters and I had the best time. We were talking about it yesterday and we can't wait to go on the next trip. The mud, rain, getting stuck (to quote Hector "it was an opportunity" to get to know everyone better in fun times and in trying times. It was all great! We have a piggy bank with $60 and we want to donate it to Club Dust. It's all in change....We really had an awesome and amazing time and can't wait till next month."
Contact: Ray at Rmeltvedt@landsberg.com or Tina at TMonji@mchutchison.com We hope that you too will catch the 'Vision' of spreading God's love by meeting His people's needs in a tangible way. Not just saying it - doing it, & having fun during the adventure! We will be building two homes, bunkbeds and raised vegetable beds there along the Railroad tracks in El Nino. You can sign up ahead of time via the www.clubdust.org website so we know how many cars we need and how many Tamales to order from the local cook there in El Nino. Passports are required for adults, Kids under 18 need only copy of a birth certificate. The costs and detail for each trip is on the registration page. Call Ray if you have any questions, concerns or need a bit of prodding to go!! Thanks in advance for your consideration. Hope to see you there!
And yes we do need funding for these trips. You can make a monthly contribution of $30 - $100 or consider donating directly to a specific home via the donation tab on the website. The cost for the portable homes is $1700.00 with drywall. The bunkbeds are $90.00 each the raised veggie beds are $50.00
