Itis essential to participate in all the components of fitness in order to reach your  fitness goals. At the Outdoor Fitness Adventure Club we make it easy for you to take motivating & diverse classesreaching your potential and avoiding overuse-syndrome.  MOVE - for a healthy cardiopulmonarysystem & caloric expenditure. STRENGTH - for strong bones, greater lean tissue mass (LTM) & increased basal metabolic rate (BMR) increase. STRETCH - for greater flexibility and balance. REPAIR- for proper recovery. We have outlined the classes that fit in those categories.

 

 

DESCRIPTION OF CLASSES:

LOCATION: OFAC  Studio

BOOT CAMP: This class is designed for those desiring to lose weight, increase cardiovascular fitness and increase muscular strength more efficiently. It is for the beginner to the advanced enthusiast. Workout in a TEAM environment while challenging yourselves with others to reach your personal fitness goals. Take indoor boot camp using exercise bands, our rock wall, and body weight to improve fitness level, improved body composition, strength and skills.

FIT CAMP 
Challenge yourself with this fastpaced workout combo of TRX, strength and core training, and cardio drills. Timed sets will keep your heart rate pumping as you power through the reps at your own pace.

CORE & FLEXIBILITY Our core & flexibility classes are designed to  improve the health, performance and mental acuity of the beginner and expert alike. Finding balance and reducing stress are  important. Troy shares his wealth of fitness knowledge and stress reducing techniques in his classes and personal training sessions.

KIDS MARTIAL ARTS: James has been studying martial arts for more than twenty years and teaching adults and kids of all ages, for more than fifteen. He has taught many different styles over those years but is partial to Chinese Kung-Fu. James teaches a professional and fun kids martial arts program.

NORDIC WALKING: Nordic Walking-Total Body Workout burns 46% more calories than walking without poles. Nordic Walking strengthens your core and upper body while improving overall fitness levels in less time

MAT PILATES: Pilates training utilizes a series of exercises that have been created with the intent of strengthening and stretching the body's core. The training mobilizes the spine and serves to improve overall flexibility.

SHAPED PROGRAM: 8-week program geared toward the entry level person who has limited time and a busy schedule outside their home. Each week our instructors will inspire you with a different class. 30-minutes of customized cardiovascular and weight bearing training combined with 30-minutes of core & flexibility training.

TRX SUSPENSION TRAINING: TRX Group suspension training offers a uniquely integrated blend of strength, balance, coordination, and flexibility, as required on the playing fields of sport and in life. Training techniques displace your center of gravity, which activates the core musculature in every exercise, making it "all core, all the time."

WOMEN'S SELF DEFENSE COURSE: Every 2-minutes someone is raped in the U.S. Every woman (and or teenage girl) should learn how to defend themselves. Our system of self-defense will help you learn to be aware of your body and its surroundings. You will obtain the ability to assess a person’s
intention, so that you can avoid potentially life-threatening situations. We will help you to project a positive self-image and will give you the confidence to defend yourself in any situation which requires the use of force.

X-Training: Meet every Tuesday and Thursday at 5:00 PM for a fun circuit training experience. Increase muscle & decrease body fat with a head to toe circuit training body sculpting workout. Be ready to sweat as you isolate your muscles while incorporating short bursts of aerobic exercise for maintaining cardiovascular endurance (60 minutes)

ZUMBA: Zumba, one of the most effective forms of cardiovascular exercise provides a fun way to burn calories. It's just like a dance party!
Our studio (featuring a state-of-the-art sound system) offers an interesting and comfortable environment for exercising. Let the dance party begin! Burn extra calories while steppin' to the beat of energizing latin tunes. Improve cardiovascular strength and endurance.

PROGRAM OF THE MONTH

Graphic Crusher TeeLeprechaun Leap 5k

Join us in the month of February as we train for the Leprechaun Leap 5k Race. This fun event takes place on March 17th at The District at Tustin Legacy. This competitive run will also feature team divisions. This dog friendly event will be followed by a party and beer gardens. Those interested are asked to go online at http://leprechaunleap.org/ and sign up under OFAC Muddy Buddies ( cost $33 ).

OFAC members can join us free as we train for this event! Our first training will be on Saturday Feb 4th. We will meet up across from Kaylani's Coffee House in North Beach at 9:00AM. We will train and run as a team! Since it is St. Patrick's day, be sure to wear green and prepare for a party!

This will be the first of many training events with Outdoor Fitness Adventure Club. We really want to know what events you are interested in training for. We have changed our EPIC solution so you do not have to register for access. Just go to ofac.myepicfitness.com and click continue for access to the EPIC solution. When you find an event you would like to train for just go on our OFAC facebook site at www.facebook.com/ofaclub and tell us what EPIC event you would like to attend.

OFAC will form teams and create training programs for your next adventure. Think of it, instead of focusing on that last 5 pounds, we can have fun training for an adventure. Of course you will lose the weight, but you will gain so much more in the process. So, wether it is a fun 5k you have always wanted to accomplish, or perhaps you have always wanted to bag that peak, OFAC is your adventure solution. We are here to help you cross the finish line or stand on that peak.
