Eat Well, Exercise Well, Play Well
What food? What time? How much? These
questions seem to plaque even the most
sophisticated athlete.
Eating the right amount of macronutrients
(carbohydrates, protein, fat) per day can
possess our thinking. Learning what sources
are best for your individual body type,
fitness goals and health is vital for a lifestyle
that promotes energy, wellness and quality
of life.
Believe it or not, the number of calories in
just one restaurant meal, including
appetizers and sides, can add up to as
much as 2,500 calories (above the average
daily calorie recommendation for most
people)
I am excited to announce that a local
restaurant has taken to heart my plea for
change. The Fitness For Life healthy menu
at the Bella Collina Towne and Golf Club will
display calories, carbohydrate grams,
protein grams, fat grams and sodium grams
for each entree. Our menu will take the
guessing out for you. No more feeling
embarrassed by special orders.
Fitness is more than how many days you
workout. True fitness causes a heightened
quality of life which encompasses
cardiovascular strength and endurance,
muscular strength and endurance, achieving
the proper rest and eating the proper foods
for your activity level and goals.
Once you know how, what and when to eat,
it’s hard to go back to a happenstance
lifestyle. Be deliberate with your health, by
disciplining your mind and body. Allow us to
take you where you want to go!
