Greetings!

Welcome to Fit Challenge Part I -- We provide you all the tools for success. No more guessing about serving sizes, no more wondering if you have worked out hard enough or if your heart rate was in target range. We provide truthful, scientific solutions in easy-to-understand terms. Our professional instructors provide fitness classes with your fitness level and goals in mind.

Why weigh in?
Your body will do what you tell it to do. Most of the time, we don't understand what we are telling it to do. 
We take the guessing out for you by applying scientific formulas to common health problems. We weigh and measure you to gather viable information about your body and your fitness level starting point. We need this information to create a personalized nutrition program just for you. We must understand your goals and energy expenditure to determine your nutrient needs. 1. After gathering important health information, you will be weighed on a standard scale. 2. Then, we use Lange skinfold calipers to calculate your body composition (fat percent, body fat and lean tissue weight) -- expect to be measured at three sites, tricep, suprailiac and thigh. 3. After that, you will be measured with a standard measuring tape. 4. We calculate your body composition results. Then we provide a day-by-day nutrition plan and exercise schedule, customized especially with your goals in mind. Isn't it time for your personal success?
Class Schedule
Week 1 - Overview and detox program -- why toxins can make you sick and cause you to gain fat. We provide you with a natural detox recipe and menu plan to flush your system from harmful toxins. Past participants have lost up to 7 pounds the first week from proper detoxing.
Week 2 - Carbohydrates -- How many carbohydrates do you need? Do you eat too many or not enough? Understand energy expenditure and energy needs, what makes your body work best.
Week 3 - Protein -- who needs more? A body builder or a runner? What types of protein will help you burn more fat and increase lean tissue mass?
Week 4 - Fat -- fats that kill, fats that heal. Are you consuming toxic fats or healing fats? Certain fats will help you lose body fat. Do you know which fats they are?
Week 5 - Build your own Brain Salad - learning about healthy meals takes time. Putting it all together takes technique. Learn how to create a healthy meal then taste your creation.
End of Challenge - Weigh out - how many fat pounds (cubes of butter have you lost?) Past Fit Challengers have lost up to 60 cubes of butter (15 pounds of fat) in 5-short weeks and have increased lean muscle mass.

PROGRAM OF THE MONTH

Graphic Crusher TeeLeprechaun Leap 5k

Join us in the month of February as we train for the Leprechaun Leap 5k Race. This fun event takes place on March 17th at The District at Tustin Legacy. This competitive run will also feature team divisions. This dog friendly event will be followed by a party and beer gardens. Those interested are asked to go online at http://leprechaunleap.org/ and sign up under OFAC Muddy Buddies ( cost $33 ).

OFAC members can join us free as we train for this event! Our first training will be on Saturday Feb 4th. We will meet up across from Kaylani's Coffee House in North Beach at 9:00AM. We will train and run as a team! Since it is St. Patrick's day, be sure to wear green and prepare for a party!

This will be the first of many training events with Outdoor Fitness Adventure Club. We really want to know what events you are interested in training for. We have changed our EPIC solution so you do not have to register for access. Just go to ofac.myepicfitness.com and click continue for access to the EPIC solution. When you find an event you would like to train for just go on our OFAC facebook site at www.facebook.com/ofaclub and tell us what EPIC event you would like to attend.

OFAC will form teams and create training programs for your next adventure. Think of it, instead of focusing on that last 5 pounds, we can have fun training for an adventure. Of course you will lose the weight, but you will gain so much more in the process. So, wether it is a fun 5k you have always wanted to accomplish, or perhaps you have always wanted to bag that peak, OFAC is your adventure solution. We are here to help you cross the finish line or stand on that peak.
